My name is Kristina, and this is my Digital Garden. This is not a blog. You won't find fine-tuned writing or thoughts. This is learning in progress. It's my working notebook. I keep seeds of ideas here that have been living rent-free in my head, and I work through what I'm learning out in the open. Some notes are finished. Most aren't. They change as I do. I write in plain Markdown and focus on text.
Three areas of organization
Everything public here belongs to one of three areas.
Learning
What I'm studying and practicing:
- Acting
- Writing: stage plays, short stories, poetry
- Critical and creative thinking
- How brains work and learn, including how manipulation works on the mind (my Cult Series)
Expect study notes, craft notes, practice logs, and quotes I'm learning from in my Commonplace Notebook. When I share a finished poem, story, or scene, it's because it shows a skill I'm working on right now.
Living
How I live, work, and think as a neurodivergent and disabled person. My routines and tools, what helps and what doesn't. Some of what keeps me going is survival: the books I read, the music I play, the games I use to figure out midlife, the things I make at home. My Week in Review and Month in Review updates live here too.
Building
For Love of Education (FLOE), my consultancy. Community learning as an act of resistance, the frameworks and process behind FLOE, and what I'm making.
## What goes publicA note goes public ONLY when:
- It belongs to Learning, Living, or Building.
- It's my work. Other people's writing stays private. Quotes are the exception, and only with a full citation.
- Someone could learn, try, or understand something from it.
- It's ready to be seen. Unfinished is fine. Drafts aren't.
- It keeps private things private.
Personal notes, daily notes, drafts, and clippings never go public.
Getting around
Depends on who you are and how your brain works.
My Obsidian Process is the place to begin if you like deep dives. I explain why I chose this software, how I use this garden, and how it's organized.
Use the sidebar navigation tree with abandon. I link to other notes as my mind remembers, so follow the threads. Every note also shows its area, project, and category. Click any of them to see what else shares it.
Dead links and missing images
Because this is a living garden, dead links and missing images are seeds that haven't germinated yet. A "missing" note may be a private thought or a placeholder for what's coming. I cite all external images and artwork. Check back if you want to see how things grow.
Affiliate links
Some external links to products are affiliate links. I'm not an affiliate of anything I haven't used, though your experience may differ from mine. I'm assuming you know that, but I wanted to say it plainly.
